Why Pick Bluehost?

If you plan to start a blog or a website, nothing beats having your own webhosting solution. I have looked at various webhosting solutions out there, and I think bluehost has one of the best packages out there.

Some important features:

300 GB of Storage Space
This means that you can store all your photos and videos to your heart’s content. Even if you don’t intend to use so much space for your blog or website, you could still use it for backing up your files online.
Compare this to GoDaddy’s US$14.99 best plan which only gives you 200 GB of space.

3000 GB per month of transfer
This means you can host more visitors without any worry of your website or blog being deactivated. GoDaddy’s Premium Plan? Only 2000 GB of transfer.

2500 Email Accounts
I am not sure if you need that much, but bluehost does give you that much.

Free Domain Name Registration
This means that if you don’t own www.yourname.com or www.yourbusiness.com yet, signing up and owning that domain name costs you nothing because it’s free with every sign up with bluehost! Most webhosting plans don’t have this and I find this to be one of the best things about bluehost.

Unlimited Domain Name Hosting
If you want to run multiple blogs and websites, and each one will have their own domain, have no worries. Unlimited domains really do mean unlimited domains, unlike GoDaddy which says it gives you unlimited domains, but you need to set up domain name masking (it’s a bit technical, but basically, what I’m trying to say is that bluehost does it better).

Support for Multiple Web Technologies
PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails (for all you RoR fans), MySQL Database, Postgre Database.
This means you can easily run your Wordpress or Movable Type blogs without any problem at all!

Tons of Free Software
Possibly more than you need, but surf on to the website to take a look at what’s available.

All this for only US$6.95 per month! This is truly value for money, when you look at the features. Other web hosts have similar features, but it certainly costs more than 6.95 per month.
