Answers Regarding Ipoh Timur

Following the announcement by the Election Commission that there will be 8000+ additional voters in Ipoh Timur for the next election, Haris Ibrahim from The People’s Parliament will be personally meeting with someone in the Election Commission’s office in Ipoh this Friday to seek clarification and answers on the sudden increase in the number of voters.

If you’re in Ipoh on that day and you are concerned about this issue (as I am sure you are), please join Haris at 3pm this Friday, 2nd October 2007, at the following address:

Pejabat Pilihan Raya Negeri Perak
Blok A, Tingkat 1, Bangunan Persekutuan,
Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab,
30000, Ipoh, Perak.

Just drop him an email (details here) and let him know that you’re going. If you’re not able to go, and are still interested in getting answers, I would still drop him an email on the questions that you want answered by the Election Commission.

Unfortunately, I work in the Klang Valley and vote in the Kinta Valley so I won’t be able to be there in person this Friday, but certainly I would want the mystery on the sudden increase of 3000+ new postal voters solved.

A big thanks for Haris for helping Ipoh Timur fight the good fight even though he doesn’t stand to gain anything. At least he ’seems’ to be doing more than Mr. Lim Kit Siang on this matter.
