Top 5 Stupid Statements From A Policeman’s Mouth
December 7, 2007
The position of Inspector-General of Police is the highest ranking position a policeman/woman can attain in Malaysia. The people of this country deserve an Inspector-General of Police that has the citizens’ and country’s interests at heart. Unfortunately, we have an Inspector-General of Police named Musa Hassan that is like NATO (No Action, Talk Only). In fact, his talk seems to betray his true allegiance, sadly, which is not to this country, but to his political masters.
Yesterday, the IGP issued a statement that claimed Hindraf was trying to solicit help and support from terrorist groups, as reported in Malaysiakini.
Here are the Top 5 stupidest things in that statement:
#1
In a statement released late today, Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan said that Hindraf, organiser of the Nov 25 rally in Kuala Lumpur, was trying to solicit help and support from terrorist groups.
“Of late there have been indications that Hindraf is trying to seek support and help from terrorist groups,” said Musa.
If there have been such indications, why hasn’t Musa Hassan charged Hindraf yet? Seeking support and help from terrorists constitutes a threat against national security, so the crime is probably treason. So if what Musa Hassan said was true, please charge them.
Insufficient evidence? Then why is he talking so much? Why he so like that?
#2
Musa also revealed that the police had been monitoring Hindraf since July 28 and in the course of the investigations discovered that the movement was active in fanning racial sentiments among the Indian community by stirring up their anger and arousing hatred against the government.
“Their actions are potentially explosive in sparking racial clashes,” he said in a statement, as reported by Bernama.
How does stirring up anger against the government lead to fanning racial sentiments? So many uncle in kopitiam and mamak stall fuck the government everyday, are they fanning racial sentiments? What’s the connection?
If you have got the proof, then charge them with sedition already! Wait, they were already charged, but there was something wrong with the evidence right? Surely if the police have been monitoring them, they would have done a professional job by using a recording device right?
Insufficient evidence? Then why is he talking so much? Why he so like that?
#3
Musa said the unregistered body - helmed by six prime movers comprising five lawyers and a senior executive of a private company - had also sought to deceive the people by asking them to put money into a fund to support the organisation’s activities.
Again, if you’ve got proof that Hindraf has committed fraud against our citizens, why haven’t they been charged? Don’t you want to catch all the conmen in this country?
Insufficient evidence? Then why is he talking so much? Why he so like that?
#4
“Hindraf is soliciting for external support by portraying a wrong picture on the actual position of Indians in this country to the foreign parties,” asserted Musa.
He added that Hindraf had made “false, baseless and slanderous” allegations that the government had marginalised the Indians.
Erm, the last I checked, Musa Hassan is the Inspector-General of Police, not some expert on the actual position of Indians in this country. If he was Indian, then maybe when he comments about Indians, he might have some credibility. Last I checked, Musa Hassan is not Indian.
Once again, no proof to back up his statement. Why he so like that?
#5
He also alleged that they masterminded the opposition of a group of Indians against a local authority for demolishing Hindu temples built illegally.
“They also planned to use gangsters to block demolition of temples by local authorities in future,” he said.
I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but once again, if Musa has got the proof, why hasn’t he done anything? If someone plans to blow up the PM’s office, surely the police would have arrested that person already?
Insufficient evidence? Then why he wants to talk so much? Why he so like that?
Oh, did I say Top 5? I guess I underestimated the IGP. Here’s one more bonus. Save the best for last, as they say:
#6
According to Musa, Hindraf had defied the law and went ahead to stage the Nov 25 street protests because its real motive was to create chaos in the federal capital.
“But instead they twisted the incident and accused the police of using force on their supporters.
“They also cheated the Indians who attended the illegal gathering when they did not hand in the petition to the British High Commission despite having the opportunity to do so,” he said.
Is Musa blind? Or am I blind? The accusation of police using force can easily be proven by using the Internet. And your bunch of policemen were busy shooting tear gas at the people, and blocking the way to the High Commission. What opportunity was there to submit the petition?
God, the things Musa says is beyond believe.

Musa Hassan: No Action, Talk Only
So there you have it. The Top 5 + 1 Stupid Statements from a policeman’s mouth, which in this case, belongs to our country’s IGP, Musa Hassan. Our country’s top policeman. Seriously, is he the best policeman/woman our country’s got? If so, then someone needs to start praying for this country.
Musa Hassan says the darndest things!

The statement from the IGP is all part of the concerted effort by the Minster of Disinformation to discredit the Hindraf movement
In the current trial of the 31 accused, the most inhuman part is that the three accused who are sick are not even spared by the Judge for bail when she ruled the “defence also provided vague descriptions and insufficient evidence of the health conditions’
AFP reported one of them with a “hole in the heart” was there praying at the temple. Another was ranting “his nephew – not joining Hindraf” was also roped in. In one sweep, the police have caught many innocent ones.

I’m also inclined to think that the police does not have enough evidence to charge 31 people for attempted murder of 1 particular policeman.
They will most likely keep them in jail for a long long time, before eventually releasing them for lack of evidence.
This is a simple scare tactic that is highly effective as well.
I’m also inclined to think that if 31 people really attempted to murder 1 person, that person wouldn’t be alive today.

I think we are all link to something in our life. But to say Hindraf is linked to the Tamil Tiger is something interesting [did the police find AK 47s, rocket launchers, etc. (their trademark) in their recent street demonstration]. But one thing I am very sure, our Polis Diraja Malaysia is definately linked to a tiger. Just look at their badge …………
Oh, there is another thing. Maybe the lawyers representing the Hindraf supporters should sue back the police for attempted murder - fire tear gas and chemical laced water. People with asthma or skin allergies may also die. Did they ever consider the consequences of their action …………
Klaw: Words, you are right, the police should be charged as well, because there have been reports that tear gas was fired INTO the crowd at a dangerous angle. But you know, it’s not going to happen. Remember the Batu Buruk incident when the police shot someone?

when will true justice prevail in Malaysia when the guardian of law engages in uttering untruths to sway public opinion?

Apartheid is alive and well in Malaysia.
The world should impose economic sanctions against Malaysia.

there is also another part musa said that irks me:
“He added that Hindraf had made “false, baseless and slanderous” allegations that the government had marginalised the Indians.”
for crying out loud, we all know, and it is a fact that the indians are being marginalised!!

siew_wah, it’s really a symbiotic relationship between the ruling party and the IGP. You watch my back, and I’ll promote you to top cop. In turn, you help me crush all dissent.
Amir Izwan,
Economic sanctions? No one should wish that against their own country.
lucia,
The one making false, baseless and slanderous accusations is him right!

That’s why his son never got charged, remember?

Whatever, the IGP said, his tactic works. The Indian gov support on hindraf is waning. In war, victory doesn’t belong to the righteous side, it belongs to the side with correct tactic. Hindraf start off with wrong tactic at all fighting along the rac and religion line. Not much support from Malaysian except Indian and now, they seem losing Indian gov support as well.
