Undilah Barisan Rakyat!
February 25, 2008

No, not Barisan Nasional, but the Barisan Rakyat. For so long, we have had to put up with the lies and abuse of those in power, who used this power to stifle the people’s views. The Barisan Rakyat consists of 6 political parties who has endorsed a declaration called “The People’s Declaration”.
The People’s Declaration was drafted by the civil society movement, and it’s contents can be found here (Mandarin and Malay versions available as well). The 6 parties that have endorsed this declaration are:
- DAP
- MDP
- PAS
- PKR
- PSM
- PASOK
*Note: Barisan Nasional parties were given a chance to endorse the People’s Declaration but there was no response.
If any of these parties above are contesting in your constituency this 12th General Election, and if you believe in the People’s Declaration, then use your vote to decide. Click here for the launching of the Barisan Rakyat last Saturday. Pics here.
The People’s Declaration is a document that inspires hope for the well-being of this country, and I believe it is time to return the power to the people.
The country belongs to the people, not politicians. It’s time to make it a reality come March 8th 2008.

please maximise your precious energy 2 generate greater momentum for Barisan Rakyat than 2 waste it on mockery of the B.N. Malaysians of all walks of life know fully well about d past record of BN Putras. we should never attempt 2 further attack them. it is all unneccessary.

garfield city,
Yes, energy should be poured into Barisan Rakyat.
But one musn’t forget that not ALL Malaysians are FULLY aware of the past record of BN, especially the young ones. We should never forget to criticize them where criticism is due.

u can imagine now, how much easier it is for a person to be Azalina than to be the daughter of DS Anwar to fight the election. That should spur us to work harder for the other candidates of Barisan Rakyat. We REALLY need GOD’s help.
