What Did Khairy Say To Piss Off Anwar

Heard the news that Anwar might be suing Khairy, the famous son-in-law of the Badawi clan, for a cool RM100 million? Anwar claimed that Khairy had made certain disparaging remarks against him, and would be suing him for defamation if Khairy did not issue a retraction and apology within 48 hours.
So what really happened, and what did Khairy say? I had wanted to blog about this some weeks back, but I decided against it as I didn’t want to give Khairy the attention he doesn’t deserve. But now that people will be asking questions, what DID Khairy say?
First, Khairy had made some homophobic remarks regarding Anwar’s sexuality in a ceramah that was held in Lembah Pantai. Before I get to the juicy details, I would like to state that homophobic jokes in a public arena is quite unacceptable, similar to making sexist jokes in Parliament. That been said, let’s gone on with it (report by Malaysiakini dated February 20th):

Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin rained insults on PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and said the latter could “field his daughter, wife or even himself in Lembah Pantai and BN (Barisan Nasional) will say ‘bring it on’.”
He dismissed the speculation that if Anwar’s daughter Nurul Izzah is fielded for the Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat, it could threaten BN.

The 32-year-old politician then embarked on a tirade against Anwar, adding that he wanted the opposition supporters in the area to hear his words.
“When I came here, I saw the flags of PKR raised. They (PKR) say this is a ‘grey’ area. Well, I say we will chase all of them out from Lembah Pantai,” he said.
He repeatedly called Anwar a “traitor and hypocrite”.

Anwar, who was once the number two in Umno, was by then premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 1998 and was subsequently found guilty by the court on charges of corruption and sodomy.
He was released from prison in 2004 after the Federal Court upheld his appeal and overturned the sodomy conviction.
In his hard-hitting speech, Khairy also made cynical references to this. Drawing laughter from his audience, he said: “DAP main PAS dari kanan, PAS main DAP dari kiri, PKR main dua-dua dari belakang!”
Sounds familiar? Does he sound like a typical UMNO Member of Parliament? I hereby guarantee you, if KJ is voted into Parliament for the next term, Malaysians should prepare for more of such drivel from the son-in-law, the pembela maruah bangsa UMNOputera.

its ok la KJ, tahu tahu la. you also main belakang what. instead of contesting in urban areas where your Kerbau-ford speeches would best be heard and judged by urban ppl, you go and bang table in a rural area. you also belakang mari what. But you know what, even if you become a MP, anwar will surely get his MP-ship in the by-election. So i would like to see both of you face off in the Parliament, then we will know who is the anal hole. By the way, have anyone heard from anywhere that the Chinese / Indians support KJ to Parliament?

If there are Chinese / Indians supporting him, it’s probably only because they didn’t get the right message from the government-owned media.
Seriously, I can imagine this guy wreaking havoc in Parliament, but I guess that’s just more fodder for my blog, innit?

hey, you all can thrash khairy all you want, but calling nori names is just mean and in bad taste. it’s like raping the wife to settle a score with the husband. why is it that when men fight, it’s always the women around them who are made the victims? you all ought to be ashamed.

The puns on the wife is mean, but I can’t help wanting to strangle her still. I mean, it’s so obvious the husband loves the wife’s father’s power as much (or more) than he loves the wife. Why is the wife lying there doing nothing, esp amid rumors of the husband and the pontianak? Just divorce the bugger already, cut him from power. I’m sure the late mother would be much ashamed. I want to say ‘love is blind’ and that KJ truly love his wife, but…no matter how i tried to convince myself, i still believe that he marries her because of her father. Remember there was once that KJ was going after Anwar’s daughter?! try to fit that into the picture. why anwar’s daughter? why not anymore? Remember when KJ had his first child born? remember his comment then saying that he is thankful that his baby looked like his wife and not him…what a load of bull shit. So wayang. sorry la, you see the picture of him and nori together, so tak secocok! where have you seen a monkey and a *ehem* woman pairing up? ha..!
