DarnMalaysia.com Score Card - Who Survived, Who Didn’t

Malaysians Say The Darndest Things was started in October 2007, a mere 6 months ago. Since then, we have highlighted the darndest things said or done by various politicians in this country. We provide a public service to readers to allow them to do more research on their candidates, whether they deserve to be elected or not. Here are some survivors, and some losers from the recently concluded 12th General Elections.

Survivors

Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz
Nazri Aziz
P61 - Padang Rengas (Perak)
Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz - 9830
Alias Zenon - 8081

Looks like Nazri just pulled through with a small majority. I also did not realize that Padang Rengas had such few voters. Even Carol Chew Chee Lin in Seputeh, who lost to Teresa Kok by 36,000 votes polled more than Nazri.

Not that easy to get rid of Nazri lah.

Mohamad Aziz
Sri Gading, Mohamad bin Haji Aziz
P149 - Sri Gading (Johor)
Mohamad Aziz - 19641
Ali Markom - 8767

Mohamad Aziz for another 5 years! Dang!

Hishammuddin Hussein
Hishammuddin and the Keris
P153 - Sembrong (Johor)
Hishammuddin Hussein - 17988
Lee Sang - 6418

Hishammuddin gets to kiss the Keris Panca Warisan again. Hopefully, he does it again right before the next elections.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
Badawi
P41 - Kepala Batas (Penang)
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi - 23445
Subri Md. Arshad - 12199

Badawi wins it again with a reduced majority this time. He has just been sworn in two his second term as PM of Malaysia. Will he hear the voter’s voices, and awake from his slumber? Will he truly stamp out corruption? The time is now, Badawi.

Ong Ka Chuan
Ong Ka Chuan Normal
P77 - Tanjong Malim (Perak)
Ong Ka Chuan - 21016
Mohamad Azman Marjohan - 15594

Ong Ka Chuan announces his political comeback with a win in the safe seat of Tg. Malim. Will he be appointed Health Minister to replace Chua Soi Lek?

Mohamad Khir Toyo
Khir Toyo
N3 - Sungai Panjang (Selangor, under P93 - Sungai Besar)
Mohd Fadzin Taslimin - 5353
Mohamad Khir Toyo - 11181

Khir Toyo will relish his job as the new opposition leader in the Selangor state government. First, he will have to look for a place to stay.

Mohd Johari Baharum
Johari Baharum
P6 - Kubang Pasu (Kedah)
Isa Ismail - 17119
Mohd Johari Baharum - 24179

Johari gets to Parliament for another term. Will he be investigated again by the ACA? Only time will tell.

Mohd Najib Abdul Razak
Najib 3D
P85 - Pekan (Pahang)
Khairul Anwar Ahmad Zainudin - 9798
Mohd Najib Abdul Razak - 36262

A massive win for Najib. If Badawi does step down as PM, I sincerely hope that Najib does not get to ascend to PM, because he has proven in his UMNO Youth days that he is willing to bathe his keris in Chinese blood. Until an apology is forthcoming, he will always be a racist in my mind.
And the Altantuya murder. Too many connections to Najib not explored.

Azalina Othman Said
Azalina Othman
P157 - Pengerang (Johor)
Azalina Othman wins without a fight as the PKR candidate fails to show up for nomination.

Khairy Jamaluddin
Khairy - Gempur
P131 - Rembau (Negeri Sembilan)
Khairy Jamaluddin - 26525
Badrul Hisham Shaharin - 20779

Fuck. Malaysia’s most hated son-in-law rempits his way into Parliament with a 6000 vote majority.

Losers

Badruddin Amiruldin
Badruddin Amiruldin
P12 - Jerai (Kedah)
Mohd Firdaus Jaafar - 26510
Badruddin Amiruldin - 24211

Badruddin just lost by a 2000 votes. We should thank Jerai voters for kicking out this sexist, who claimed that women who dressed ‘indecently’ should be to blame if they are raped. And hindicapped people are handicapped because of God. Let’s hope that this is the last we hear of this man.

S. Sothinathan
S. Sothinathan
P132 - Telok Kemang (Negeri Sembilan)
Sothinathan Sinna Gounder - 20544
Kamarul Bahrin Abbas - 23348
Mohd Rashid Arshad - 601

Oops. Sothinathan a victim of the anti-MIC sentiment. His political comeback is still likely. Just hope he doesn’t challenge Fong Po Kuan to another fight.

Syed Hood Syed Edros
Parit Sulong, Syed Hood bin Syed Edros
The Badawi government did well in dropping this religious bigot from contesting. His replacement, Noraini Ahmad helped retain the Parit Sulong seat for BN with a 13,000 majority.

Zainuddin Maidin (Zam)
Zam
P15 - Sungai Petani (Kedah)
Johari Abdul - 33822
Zainuddin Maidin - 24441

The Information Minister gets caught up in his own propaganda, and loses his seat by a massive majority. In the aftermath of his loss, he stated that voters will pay the price for his defeat.

Chew Mei Fun
Chew Mei Fun
P106 - PJ Utara (Selangor)
Chew Mei Fun - 17879
Tony Pua - 37851

Chew Mei Fun pays the price for being a parrot for BN, just like all her other MCA colleagues in Parliament. Where does she go from here?

Donald Lim Siang Chai
Donald Lim
P105 - PJ Selatan (Selangor)
Hee Loy Sian - 28598
Donald Lim Siang Chai - 22892

Erm, I guess the people in Donald’s constituency do not like Malaysia being compared to Myanmar, eh?

Lim Keng Yaik
Lim Keng Yaik
Retired from politics. Mr. Lim’s son was subsequently trashed by PKR’s Tian Chua in the Batu parliament seat. Perhaps it is time for Lim Sr. to really ride into the sunset now? If he wants to continue babbling, he should un-retire himself and install himself as Gerakan leader, replacing Koh Tsu Koon.

S. Samy Vellu
Samy Vellu
P62 - Sungai Siput (Perak)
S. Samy Vellu - 14637
Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj - 16458
Nor Rizan Oon - 864

Samy Vellu finally loses in Sg. Siput for the first time since 1974 (if I am not mistaken). He has indicated that he will not retire as MIC president, thereby setting in motion the proverbial ‘last nail on the coffin’ for MIC. So Samy, does that mean that MIC telah mati?

Carol Chew Chee Lin
Carol Chew
P122 - Seputeh (Federal Territory)
Carol Chew Chee Lin - 10738
Teresa Kok - 47230

Arguably the biggest trashing in the entire country. A total obliteration with a majority of 36000 votes. Miss Chew, if you do bounce back from this, remember that sexist caricatures get you nowhere, and loses you the respect of many Malaysians. The next time you run for a seat, anyone who Googles you will never forget what you did in 2008.

So we have our final tally: Survivors 11, Losers 9

I’ll do this again in 5 years time, if this blog is lucky enough to last that long.

Sri Gading, I rmrb him. The sidekick that wanted the crosses remove from my school. Asshole.

Toyol have to lay off the botox man. He will end up looing like Babra Streisand one of these days and that aint pretty.

Keris won? WTH. I hate him. I hate him for disgracing us Malay people with his racism. How could he have won? We dont want racist bigots in this country.

Badruddin lost. Great. Lets hope one of these days he gets ass-raped. And when that happens he have no one else to blame but himself for having an ass, to be raped.

Syed Hood….ahhh him. I rmbr him too. He’s the mastermind in the whole Convent/La Salle and other mission school things. Glad he’s not around anymore. I hope he gets stoned to death. Uneducated prick.

Uncle Samy has letting go issues. Fact.

She’s the one behind those sexist caricatures? WTH? Whatever happened to sisterhood? This woman makes me feel ashamed, the way Keris did.
